In the newer snapshots, the vex is actually seen as basically just an evil allay. Which is something that we had considered, but given their difference in model there wasn't really much supporting it aside from them both flying. But with what Game Theory has tried to establish, the illagers are no longer harnessing the power of life and death. They're simply converting and corrupting allay and turning them into vex. Which really makes you wonder if they'd be powerful enough to convert villagers into illagers, especially ravagers. So now we're left asking one question, does this vex change break minecraft lore?
