Avengers: Infinity War is the first of a two-part series of films that will conclude the current phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In fact, these movies may retire some characters we’ve gotten to know since the first MCU movie a decade ago, 2008’s Iron Man. At this point, dozens of Marvel heroes and villains have appeared in this film saga, which will have surpassed 20 movies by the time Avengers: Infinity War’s currently untitled sequel is released in May 2019.
